BSA provided a 3-part series of professional development workshops to support the continued professional growth and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists who reside in the Gold Coast Region.
Throughout the we focused on 3 core skills. Laurie Nona fascilitated cultural leadership, to give an understanding of the role of cultural leadership in the context of developing and growing capacity through the arts. Career planning introduced artists to the idea of small buisness planning for the arts industry, and supplied recourses to assist them. The introduction to print making fundamentals with Dian Darmansjah provided artists insight into the practical requirements of fine art printmaking.
The workshops were a success, and we would like to thank the City of Gold Coast Council for having us.
